As with any of our Give Back Programs, pre-selected teams will first compete in exciting games of skill and various island challenges.
Following the group competition, each team will receive a pre-determined number of stuffy soft bears and knotted blanket kits. Each bear kit contains a super soft twelve inch zippered bear skin, bear T-shirt, a Valentine shaped heart, colorful fabric magic marker (used to write a heartwarming saying on the shirt), polyester stuffing and a bear birth certificate.
Each blanket kit contains a colorfully designed print fabric for girls and boys, a solid color fabric for the under portion of the blanket, a pair of scissors and instructions for cutting and knotting the two pieces of fabric together. The time allocated for creating the bears and blankets is approximately 30-40 minutes.
The number of bears and blankets for each team will be decided by the client. Upon completion of the event, a member of the Maui Memorial Foundation will give a Big Mahalo to the group, as these gifts will be presented to frightened children visiting the Maui Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Room.
